This! (Not That)

What a week last week was! Our grand total was 1 fantastic Holy Week Walk for the community, 1 Maundy Thursday service here at the church, a Good Friday service out in our town, and then of course 3 amazing services here on Easter Sunday. Put all that together, and we shared the gospel with nearly 800 people. Isn’t that amazing?!
The Easter season is one that always brings joy to every person who participates. Wouldn’t it be great if we could keep that momentum going? Well, that’s our next focus as a church. We want to keep the excitement and Spirit-filled experience of Easter going all year round.
Our next Sermon Series, “This! (Not That),” will be our first step. After Jesus’ self-sacrificing work and resurrection that we celebrate at Easter, our sin was wiped clean. We are free to live a different way! Instead of living in guilt, we can live in freedom. Instead of anxiety, we can claim peace. Instead of anger and bitterness, we can choose grace and kindness. Our sermon series will be all about how God’s Holy Spirit transforms us, and because of that transformation, we can live a better life than what we see in the world.
I hope to see you in church every Sunday of the series! I also hope you’ll be with us in worship on Wednesday nights as we go a little bit deeper into the message and at our spring and summer programming, which you’ll be hearing more about soon. Let’s keep the Easter spirit alive and continue to walk in the power of the resurrection.
He is risen!
