Adults

Adults at First Methodist connect through worship, small group life, service, and volunteer leadership. We enjoy spending time with each other and are eager to grow in our faith and share it with the next generation.

Small Group Life

The best way to get to know people and connect with our church life is to be a part of a smaller group of community. FMC's three primary places of Group Life are Seed Studies, Grow Groups, and Sunday School Classes. Special interest communities are additional groups that offer friendship, healing, and support.

Seed Studies

Seed Studies

Seed studies can be a first step in faith - a place where God’s word is planted in you. In Seed Studies, we learn about the Bible, reflect on weekly sermon messages, and consider Scripture in light of our everyday lives. Seed Studies are a great way to meet new people and/or explore a new dimension of your faith. They are typically short-term, open group studies that offer flexibility in meeting times and places.

Grow Groups

Grow Groups

Grow Groups are a chance to ask deeper questions about God and ourselves, growing us in grace. Our most common question is, “How is your soul?” Grow groups are small, closed groups that typically meet in people’s homes.

Sunday Morning Classes

Sunday Morning Classes

Sunday Morning Classes meet on - you guessed it - Sunday mornings at 10am. Classes are made up of friends who enjoy learning, spending time together, and serving together in missions. Many of our classes have been meeting for 40+ years, yet they welcome new faces any given Sunday. We are also always looking to start new classes for those looking for a Sunday morning connection.

Special Interest Communities

Spiritual growth happens in all kinds of ways! God is active and moving in different communities in and around our church.
