Ways to Connect
Published October 14, 2025
This week we all sat down as a church staff and planned out the next few months of ministry. We even got into some of 2026 if you can believe it! As we’ve been talking about revival lately, one key thing the pastors have decided is the most crucial for us to focus on is small groups – in particular, what we’re now calling Seed Studies and Grow Groups.
You’re probably asking yourself, what are those?! I am glad you asked, Dear Reader! Seed Studies are our Bible Study-focused small groups. Some of them use “Seed Notes” that we publish and email every Thursday, and others use another study they go through before cycling through to the next (Ex: a 6-week study on the Book of John; a 12-week study on Paul’s Letters; a women’s Bible study, etc.) Seed studies are 10-20 people, and they may look very different from one study to the next. They are also relatively short term, so people can jump from one study to the next.
Grow Groups go a little deeper. They are small groups where 12 people or fewer meet together and pray, asking each other “How is it with your soul?” and other questions a few other Grow Group leaders and I developed. Grow Groups are focused on close fellowship and spiritual growth rather than the study of Scripture.
So, which one should you be involved in? I don’t know your schedule, but I can tell you I have been deeply blessed by both for different reasons, AND there’s no rush. We’ll be talking more about these groups over the next month and we don’t plan on launching them until September, so you’ve got time to think about it.
In the meantime, continue with us in prayer for these groups and more. The Revival Project is gaining momentum - not just as a physical change to our church building, but as a spiritual rejuvenation. I can’t wait to see what God will bring to this church as we diligently follow His lead!
Seeking Revival alongside you,
Pastor Allen
