Plug in this Fall!

A few years ago, Ashlyn and I rolled into town in the middle of COVID. July 1st of 2020 was my first day on staff at the church! The few people I met were wonderful, but there were only a few. The church wasn’t gathering at the time, and that left Ashlyn and me in a weird spot. Friends, we got a little bit lonely! It was during this time when I came to really appreciate the life of the church. 

There is so much joy that comes from living life together in the church - even more so when you get around a group of people you really grow close to! It took us some time, but Ashlyn and I found some real friends here as we plugged in and built relationships with the people we met. 

To that end, I want to invite you to participate in Wednesday Night Church, a Grow Group, or an Interest Group – all starting up soon. Regular Wednesday Night Church begins again TONIGHT with dinner at 5pm and then worship at 6pm. We’ll have time to really talk about life as we eat and then in worship talk about some practical application of the messages we hear in church. In a Grow Group, you’ll gather with people and ask the question, “How is it with your soul?” giving you a real opportunity to connect. And finally, new this fall are Interest Groups where you can gather with a small group and bond over a hobby or shared interest. These groups are all about rest, play, and how can you still find ways to connect with God in the midst of fun. 

            The community of believers is one of God’s greatest gifts. To leave it on the table is to rob yourself of the joy that community brings, so plug in! Get to know some old friends better or make new ones. We love you, and we want you to experience the joy of being part of this family.
