Do we really believe what we say we do?

Do we really believe what we say we do?

This Sunday we will be celebrating our two graduating seniors as they strike out on a new stage of their lives. This is an amazing and bittersweet moment for their families and for us a church. These seniors are young men who have been coming to our church most of their lives. You’ve been encouraging them, discipling them, and sharing the gospel with them, and now they’re leaving our community to go out into the world.

You may think our commitment and support of these graduates is coming to and end. Far from it! We find ourselves in a moment when we are asked if we believe what we say we believe.

·       Do we really believe these young men are members of this outpost of the Kingdom?

·       Do we really believe in the power of prayer?

If the answer to these questions is yes, then friends – it’s time for us to renew and double down on our support of these field agents we are sending out. I’m going to challenge you to make Brayson Hambrick and Jameson Hoffman apart of your constant prayer list. I’m also going to challenge you to find a way to send these young men tangible and physical support throughout this fall so that they will know we are excited about how the Holy Spirit is at work in their lives.

To Brayson and Jameson: We love you and have tried our best to teach you about the love of God. Remember, He first loved us. As you strike out in the world, go with the peace and the power of the Holy Spirit. May God’s hand always be on you.
