Coming Together

Coming Together

I am constantly amazed at the grace the Lord offers me. I am so full of faults and missed opportunities; however, God still woke me up this morning. When you start to think about it, it really is an amazing thing that for the past 50 years God has given me another chance at life and offered me the opportunity to be revived. I wish I could tell you I haven’t ever taken it for granted, but I would be lying.

I would like to wake every morning grateful for the chance to learn more about God and be a part of the body of Christ. Like Paul said, “to live is Christ” and like the Hebrews writer said, “not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” I wonder if anyone else needs more God and more fellowship.

A couple reminders: These next few weeks we’re offering some new ways to connect with others in our church, and we’d love for you to be a part:
• THIS Sunday is our 5th Sunday Missions Brunch. Join us 10am in Fellowship Hall; donations go to our incredible Missions Ministry.
• Beginning NEXT Wednesday, Sept. 3, we’re bringing back Wednesday Night Church. There will now be several opportunities for you and anyone in your family to be a part of the body of Christ mid-week: Middle School and High School programming, American Heritage Girl and Trail Life USA for Kids, and Dinner and Worship for adults and families.
• September 7 is the launch of Team Family, a new quarterly ministry designed for families with kids through 5th grade.

Details to all these are in worship and our weekly e-news. We hope you will join us because we know the body is stronger the more we come together.

Hope to see you soon, friends.
